Since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, Russia has launched 150 new satellites into low Earth orbit. According to CelesTrak, there are currently 253 Russian low-Earth-orbit satellites circling the Earth. Russia is using them for reconnaissance and surveillance of Ukraine.
