"We are safe, we have a nuclear power plant, they wonʼt come here, they won't shoot here, they won’t mess with such things", thought the residents of Enerhodar. But they were wrong. We traced what happened at the ZNPP (Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant) and in Enerhodar since the capture of the city.

On the morning of 24 February 2022, the Russian army invaded Ukraine from the south, east and north. The invasion marked the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. We have tracked the ebb and flow of the Russian occupation, the weapons used by the enemy to lay waste to Ukraine's cities and energy system, the intensity of the strikes and their effect on the illumination of the capital of Ukraine in 2022.

Over the last few days, Ukraine’s armed forces have simultaneously intensified its offensive in two directions: Luhansk and Kherson. With Russia’s attempts to stabilise the front line not yielding any results, Russian troops are retreating from many settlements in the north and south of Ukraine.

In the past 10 days, there has been a significant increase in the number of Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s rear military positions. Ukraine troops are now actively using HIMARS (High-Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems) supplied by Western allies. They are believed to be the modern analogues of the Soviet Uragan and Smerch fire systems.
