According to the report, the Russians fired the intercontinental ballistic missile at Dnipro from the Astrakhan region. Additionally, during the attack on Dnipro, Russian forces used a "Kinzhal" missile and seven X-101 cruise missiles.

The Air Force of Ukraine reported that air defense missile units successfully intercepted and destroyed six X-101 missiles. "The other missiles caused no significant damage," added the Air Force.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the use of an intercontinental ballistic missile by Russia in an official address.
"Today, there was a new Russian missile. All its characteristics—speed, altitude—indicate it was an intercontinental ballistic missile. Expert analyses are ongoing. Clearly, Putin is using Ukraine as a testing ground," Zelensky stated.

According to European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano, if the reports about Russia's use of an intercontinental ballistic missile are confirmed, "this would mark yet another quantitative and qualitative escalation in this approach and a clear sign of further intensification."

The video below allegedly shows six warheads, assuming it was the "Rubezh" intercontinental ballistic missile (though this has not been definitively established). These warheads would typically deploy at an altitude of 50–60 kilometers.

Most likely, instead of nuclear warheads, the payload consisted, crudely speaking, of either concrete or some explosive component. No immediate explosions were observed at the impact sites, likely because the damage was caused by kinetic energy rather than explosive force.

It is worth noting that Russia has previously attacked Ukraine with missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads, such as the X-55 missile and its modifications.

Below are videos that allegedly capture the moment of the missile strike.
