Russians would easily defeat US troops on the land. Why the Western world needs to gain real experience of war in Ukraine
American and European land forces are ill-suited to the realities of modern warfare and are therefore incapable of combat. This could change with Western soldiers' participation on the battlefield in Ukraine – a unique military experience. However, Ukrainian partners are in no hurry to send their armed forces to us. This opinion was expressed in an interview by former Ukrainian MP and current military Tetiana Chornovol.
Let's talk about Trump's humiliating statements about Ukraine. Allegedly, if it weren't for the US, Ukraine would have lost Kyiv in three days.
I am absolutely convinced that if the best US Marines suddenly came to Ukraine to replace the Ukrainian army, they wouldn't last three days. The Russians would destroy every single one of them, along with all their weapons, in those three days. And Trump doesn't understand this. He lives in a different category of warfare. He shows videos of American paratroopers jumping out of planes. I look at this and think, "That would be quite a pile of fresh meat if you did that in Ukraine."
I see this as a big mistake on the part of the West. This is an entirely different war. Not the kind they are used to. Why does Trump feel this way about the war in Ukraine?
It is separated from us by oceans. FPV drones cannot fly across these oceans. It is not afraid of close combat with Russia because it has nuclear weapons. Trump can afford this primitive attitude toward rearming the army in the context of modern war.
However, Europe cannot afford this. I do not understand why Europe does not send its troops to Ukraine to gain real experience. They need this, not us. If European countries sent their armed forces here, they would not be of much help to Ukraine. We Ukrainians know better how to fight. It is essential for them now to understand this war and begin to rebuild themselves, as North Korea is doing on Russia's side. They have already taken over this war.
Trump has an army that is incapable of fighting modern wars
Next up is a new war. This experience will spread to countries the US considers hostile, such as China. The West doesn't get that Asia can now fight modern wars, but they can't.
Armies from other countries, such as Colombia and Mexico, are already adopting the experience in Ukraine. This is no longer something distant, across the ocean. It’s right next to the United States. Of course, these countries are currently satellites of the US, but it is unclear what will happen tomorrow.
It is always better to be experienced and knowledgeable. Trump has an army that is incapable of fighting modern wars. This is the greatest threat. The American military is incapable of fighting Russia if these countries clash in direct combat, rather than across the ocean.
The armies of Europe are also incapable of fighting.
